To date, existing consulting services have demonstrated inadequate attention and sensitivity to the needs and expectations of Indigenous clients. This has resulted in a fragmented and uneven environment where clients are most often left to accept the services they receive, even if is not what they need or even want. What is left is a situation that ultimately mutes the voice of Indigenous peoples – especially in the spheres of business and politics.

What’s required is advice that truly understands their needs – expertise that actually makes a difference and provides the help or assistance the client actually has in mind.

That’s where we come in. Apoqon is based on the Mi’gmaq word “Apoqonmuati” which means to “provide assistance.” We do this through a variety of products and services designed to genuinely serve the needs of Indigenous peoples.

We provide the following practical, timely and cost-effective solutions

  • Research and writing services
  • Communications
  • Website development and maintenance
  • Policy analysis and development
  • IT solutions (desktop support, network administration, device setup)

Ultimately, it is our goal to augment and highlight the advantages of a uniquely Indigenous approach in the areas of business, strategy, culture, technology, and government. We will achieve this by amplifying the voices of Indigenous groups and organizations in the Canadian economy not only through our business support services, but also by advancing knowledge through other products, such as original research on Indigenous socio-economics, governance, and other relevant issues.

New technologies and approaches to Indigenous consulting signal a moment of extraordinary opportunity for Indigenous voices to become more significant and influential.

Apoqon helps take you there.
